6/19 ALBUM RELEASE at LATVIAN SOCIETY OF PHILADELPHIA

The time has finally come! Theater for the Weary will be released on June 19th, 2009 at 8pm. We're celebrating with a big concert and party at the Latvian Society of Philadelphia. I'll be joined by most of the musicians who recorded Theater, plus several special guests. You can buy advance tickets through PayPal by clicking on the "Buy Now" button to the right. And, please help spread the word!

Finally, scroll down to download "Hard Work of the Bees", from the album, as well as a few acoustic versions from the cutting room floor. It's yours for free, but you also have the option to chip in to help support independent music. Every little bit helps!

See you on June 19th in Philly!
~Scott

The new album is steadily making it's way into the world. I'm working on squaring away the design and layout for the cover, and that's the final piece of this big puzzle I've been putting together for the past year and half!

Stay tuned for more info on a big CD release show and party in Philadelphia in late spring. Good things are a'coming!

Well now, for all you folks who like your music in ones and zeros, and don't need all that packaging, or the CD for that matter, which just gets scratched anyway, your time has come:

"Suggestions for the Tailor" is now available on iTunes! If that's not enough, you can also find it through a number of other digital music sites, like Napster, Verizon V-Cast, Ruckus, and GreatIndieMusic.com.

The Summer Trade

I've put the guitar down for a short spell and picked up a paddle in its place. Along with a few friends, I'm kayaking the coast of Maine for five weeks. For pictures and stories, please check out our travel blog.

I'll be back in the fall with a new album in hand! Until then, here's to getting lost in the endless days of summer. ~sp

THE VIEW FROM THE WINDOW...

I'm writing from the Honey Jar, the tiny 3rd floor room in South Philly where Devin Greenwood, Mike Newman and I are mixing the new record. More news to come soon, but the short version is that I'm really proud of this project and can't wait for you to hear it! ~Scott

BOY WITH A BAND!!

BOY WITH A BAND!!

In November I spent four days in the studio recording songs for the new album, "Theater for the Weary." For the first time in my 18 years as a songwriter (??!!), I had a full band behind me. It was an exhilarating experience, and I'm thrilled with the results. There's still a lot of work to do before these recordings see the light of day, but the stars are aligning slowly. My goal is to have it out by the summer, so stay tuned for details.

Above you'll see the whole gang gathered in the beautiful tracking room at Miner Street Studios in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

From left to right: Bill Moriarty (engineer), Devin Greenwood (producer), Ramon Sender (bass), Scott Pryor (the boss...ha!), Tom Bendel (drums), and Brendan Cooney (the keys). And, behind the camera, Mr. JJ Tiziou.
